When the clear enemy are the people promoting and creating fascism, I see you focused on a person failing to stand up to it. I do agree it is a huge missed opportunity, but it will be a long term struggle and you might be getting distracted here with infighting.

Sure, we can be angry and learn that we can’t trust this person as much as we hoped, but then we move on and keep pushing to our larger goals.

Nah dawg, this is exactly the kind of attitude that loses to fascism.

What you do is mercilessly make fun of Chuck Shumer until the end of time, you make his name synonomous with a fake performative opposition to terrifying evil. You make his name synonomous with being a phony coward.

No, why the hell would we let this slide? These are the moments that we must make sure are marked and understood for history both in history books and in the collective conscious of everyday people. Chuck Shumer threw away the last bit of resistance, snipped the last brakes on the fascism train and he did so with incredible smugness.

Nope, lol, we don’t move on from this, I mean we do, but we move on with our new found love of making fun of Chuck Shumer for being the worst kind of dangerous idiot.
