      Trust me, this is how the average Russian felt about Ukraine 10 years ago (or even 3 years ago).

      The answer is that soldiers follow orders, ones who don’t, also don’t last long in the military

      Historically yes, that’s what would happen. Most recently when the invasion in Ukraine started and Russians attacked their neighbors. It doesn’t take much time of fighting and it becomes them vs us. It was always fascinating to me how this stuff can be turned on and off by a single phone call. A flip of a switch.

      There are a lot of good Americans in our armed forces.

      Unfortunately, there are also a lot of trash too.

      So yeah, I think some units might hesitate, while others would laugh gleefully at the chance to kill ‘elitist europeans’ or whoever they can.

      This is basically a video game to them, the only difference is they’re not 2 joints in on their couch in Tennessee.
