A raving lunatic clearly abusing the power of his office and violating federal law, the constitution and his oath of office.
And where the fuck is the opposition?
At this point there can be no doubt that the United States is terminally ill.
If Trump goes by the usual Russian playbook how to create a authoritarian shithole, the next steps are:
- drive the economy to the gutter and maximize suffering.
- at the same time take control of the media. Foreign influence is common theme.
- secure military loyalty, by inserting your corrupt sycophants.
- use the media to transfer the blame to the opposition.
- when you reach the point people want blood, start incarcerating political opposition and activists.
- sham courts and possible mass graves.
Trump is an idiot and is fucking up the timing. That is only hope US has.
This is probably why opposition is limiting its obstruction. Trump will have hard time shifting the blame on a critical moment.
That’s a gamble though.
If itcwas Trump on his own - yes. All we’d have to do is sit back and watch him fuck up, because he’s not only an idiot, but an idiot with the emotional maturity of a toddler, so he just careens from one tantrum to the next.
But this time around, he has a number of smart and devious people whispering in his ear, and while he’s not one for taking advice, he can be manipulated by someone who understands how to play him.
It seems though that they’re having a hard time stopping him from being an idiot toddler, so there’s some hope. But it’s still a gamble.
