The way I describe it is this person sees the world as a stage that was put there to entertain them. Like the world is their personal TV.

When they talk about other people, they use phrases like they were entertained watching so and so. Or there was something happening they didn’t agree with so they closed their eyes. Or it makes them happy to watch some people do something.

And whenever they see something bad happen or about to happen to someone, they just watch and turn away once they are bored. They never warn or help anyone. To them, it’s just a blooper real or a slapstick TV show episode.

Women are amazing and as qualified as any man for any skill.

Also, Elon cries so much I’m starting to think his kids aren’t genetically his due to equipment failure, unless a doctor and test tube are involved.

I do have to see this person often, and I now just want that interaction as short as possible.

Unfortunately this person reasons just fine. Lives normally. Just has a warped view of the world. It doesn’t make sense how people can be so blind to themselves.

I know a MAGA like this. Constantly tells people their feelings are just made up mental things and not physical facts.

But then when he talks about how something is affecting him that isn’t a physical fact, he gets animated and literally says he is upset that people don’t listen to his feelings and that makes him feel bad.

Try working at home with unreliable power or water.

Try driving many tens of minutes to the nearest store on crumbling roads.

Retail employees and utility service employees will decline in their education.

Many people will lose their homes and live on the streets. You might have to move to a gated community, and pay for private police patrols.

There will be more fires as people live in the woods and need to cook or stay warm.

Doctors will leave the state when patients can’t pay, so hope you don’t get sick. You’ll have to live close to a way to get out of state for medical care.

Private school will become scarce and more expensive as teachers leave the state.

This is why so many conservatives constantly refer to books, higher education, and bigger communities as liberal agenda indoctrination.

And then what is annoying on top of that is the conservatives who went to college and got the better life because of their degree, but then actively try to prevent others from attending college. Because everyone who attends college will get liberally brainwashed, except for themselves. They are so full of themselves they think only they were smart enough to not get brainwashed. But they think everyone else is dumb and will be brainwashed.

I’ve have conservatives tell me this. I wouldn’t call it a conversation, because they were “so smart” and I was “too dumb” that it was a talking down to, not a conversation. They had no plan to listen to anything other than the knowledge they were bestowing to a dumber person.

I’m working on writing down lists on paper by hand, not typing into a device. I can copy over to a device, but the writing by hand is helpful.

And sometimes I’ll write down tasks that I did finish already. For me, seeing the number of completed tasks doesn’t matter much, but just the break to reflect on what has been done is grounding.

Sometimes even break the list into multiple lists, such as one where you move all the yard tasks to, and kitchen tasks, and cleaning tasks…, if the main list gets too long.

Sounds like you made changes to get better. The TDLR glosses over all that work and makes it seem like you are saying for OP to just sit and wait for it to resolve on its own.
