Democrats have removed ZERO rights. Republicans have and are actively trying to remove more. And one quick glance at both party’s voting history, you know, the thing that actually causes legislation to be enacted, very clearly paints the parties in TOTALLY different lights.

Because the majority of Lemmy users are American and the United States is in the process of collapsing, or at the very least, steep decline. So it’s kind of the primary topic of discussion.

This is just the beginning. Trump opened doors that are permanently open now. Other bad actors will walk through them. They know now, definitively, that Americans are largely stupid and that pretty basic propaganda works on them. And our government is configured in such a shitty way that any real change requires such a large majority in Congress that we’re not going to fix all the things necessary to prevent this all from happening again.

I hope you’re ready for permanent decline, because that’s the future for America, short of a revolution that completely rewrites our laws regarding politics. And it’ll be written in a shit ton of blood.

1. California gas is more expensive because refinement laws were enacted to make it burn cleaner. I’ve literally witnessed the positive effect of this over the course of my life living in California. The smog situation in the valley is not nearly as bad as it used to be.
