I’m much more concerned about the masses that are too stupid to understand what a democracy is, why it’s important, and therefore, are totally disengaged.

That level of carelessness is outright terrifying.

Democracy is a vaccine we must continue to develop and administer on a regular basis or we will succumb to the cancer that is…well… anything else.

In their minds not voting “R” is the worst possible thing that could happen in existence. Trump could individually rape and murder all their children and they’d still show up and vote “R” because the alternative is somehow worse. They can’t explain how it’s worse, but it is, somehow.

Conservatives can express discontent, or even outrage, toward their representatives, but they have ZERO interest in holding their own accountable.

As someone who became an adult before social media was a thing, it has absolutely been a detriment to society.

There’s great aspects to it and I utilize them. But as a whole, it has FUUUUCKED us up in a very significant way.

There is a direct correlation between the rise of social media and the absolute nosedive our political discourse has taken. Misinformation is SO much more prevalent now. And that rise in misinformation is definitely having real world effects.

I suggested lobotomizing all conservatives. I’d 100% live in that world and love every minute of it.
