I dunno. Wasn’t just me. Maybe they got better in the last ~20 years. That was the pen that exploded in people’s backpacks more than any other that I can recall.

I’ve had too many of 1 explode on me. So 2 or 5 but I’m leaning towards 2. There are certain types of coated/treated paper that 5 just refuses to write on for me. I also like the thinner lines that 2 provides.
