You’re missing the point, but it’s impossible to get through to someone who has no compassion for individuals, and would rather just hate someone because they’re adjacent to the problem. It’s attitudes like yours why the world is so fucked up right now. So quick to hate without realizing or caring who you’re dumping it on.

I know those of you outside of the US have dealt with some shit in your own countries, help us with some good suggestions please! Kicking us, especially those of us trying to make a difference, while we are down, isn’t helpful.
My reply was to the larger audience, not just you. I don’t disagree with your thinking. I’ve already stopped patronizing businesses that support trump and his corrupt leadership as well as signed up at generalstrikeus.com.
However, we not only need to support each other internally like you mention, but we need support of our allies across the world to help continue spreading the Truth and support our journey to a better place.
Shitting all over us as a whole is something that is more harmful than helpful, and it’s something that everyone should call out when they see it.
There are many of us protesting, writing our Congress members, voting, Educating ourselves in matters of law, having difficult conversations with friends and family members that are either ignorant or maliciously compliant, amongst many other things.
There are many of us (including myself) that are ready to pick up arms should it come to it and defend our nation against this absolute garbage situation.
The US certainly isn’t perfect, no one could ever make that claim with a straight face. However there are a TON of good people here that are actively fighting this.
People like that, including myself, NEED YOUR SUPPORT more now than ever. Like it or not, we all depend on each other. Please don’t throw out the baby with the bathwater. It’s not fair to those of us that aren’t complicit. It’s hard enough dealing with this situation right now without all the armchair quarterbacks out there kicking us while we’re down. What does that say about those people?
Maybe offer some helpful advice on how you all have dealt with struggles within your own nations. After all, everyone has some shit they’re dealing with.
Please don’t paint an entire country’s population with the same brush. It’s disingenuous and not a good faith argument.

We’re not going to fix it by voting third party, period.
The only way it can be fixed is to do it through changes led by our elected officials. So we need to advocate for and support people that can make it happen. We need to protest for it, push for it, put people in power that support it.
If someone doesn’t support it, we need to exercise our votes together and get someone in there that’s more progressive and will fight to make changes, not preserve the status quo.
But we can’t lose sight of the drawbacks of our voting system while we work to see those changes implemented.
We can’t get there by fracturing our vote into two less powerful groups/parties. They will win every time, because they’re united.
We have to get people ready to exercise their vote for a united cause/person.
People like the person in this thread that folded like a napkin when starting to have a tough conversation are part of the problem - either we fix it together or we lose. If we just bitch about our problem and don’t act, we lose.
Put your energy in getting the right person in power to support, and help them! That’s the only way we’re truthfully going to fix this.

Well, if you truly understood that video, then you would know that by voting independent you’re fracturing the vote away from the one-of-two major parties, which means victory for the bad guys. It explains this.
Look, I 100% agree with you that what we have is absolute shit. You’re preaching to the choir. But the bad guys aren’t going to fracture their vote. They’re just not.
The system is the issue, and what we have to work with is by design. If you vote for anything but one of the two parties in power, you’re just giving the worst of the two the actual win.

Private schools pay shit wages, they’re much less than public schools in most places.
And that sucks because all teachers get paid so much less as a whole than they should.
Now that special education funds will be gone due to that money essentially solely coming from the federal government, public school teachers are going to have a MUCH harder time teaching without the special needs students not having the services they need. It ends up severely impacting the entire class.
