  • 100%. It’s a coordinated judgement about who they can get to reliably make them a profit. “Pays the bills on time” is the biggest factor in your credit score.

If you look at each of them (payment history, how much credit is open and not used, how long has the credit been open, how often have they asked for more credit recently, how many types of credit do they have i.e house/car/cc) they all have to do with figuring out if you will pay them.

If the answer is yes, they will give you a giant whirlpool to spend. Once you have it you will likely make them a profit, because almost everyone does. Credit scores are just a way to tell if it’s worth hooking you on “easy” money.

  • Their main issue is all of the sudden hard pulls for new accounts. Each one hits your credit for something like 30 points. I expect doing that over and over rapidly increases that ding each time. They dont want to loan you money if you are desperate for money, so they hit your score if you ask for too much too fast.

Their second issue, credit utilization, i.e how much credit you have that’s not in use, is affected each time they cancel a card. That’s hitting their credit as well, as each canceled card closed reduces their total unused credit percentage.

Between the two, i wouldn’t be suprised if that 830 is 600 right now. The good news for OP is that the new credit dings wear off fast. If they just stop opening credit cards, their credit will be in the 800s again in a few weeks.

  • The gilded age is about absolute control of the current society, not a post apocalypse hellscape. It is about establishing a US kleptocracy ala Russia. Its about reaping all the current richness of American resources into their pockets directly, about replacing people with whatever robot is possible until you have literal wage slaves.

It will cause a reckoning, but they think they can control some semblance of the current nation, not the aftermath of a destroyed “total collapse” American that OP is talking about.

  • To a degree, but they need a heavy industrial base to operate from and continue to produce resources. They dont have that.

Most of their resources come from contracts and conventions. When those shatter, they dont have any wealth past what they tangibly have in goods. Since opulent wealth like yaughts and fine wine require civilization to exist, they are unlikely to maintain that position in the collapse of society. Best case for them is a well stocked bunker and a wealthy, isolated life. They all have that, but only that.

The OPs statement isn’t likely. What’s more likely is that realize this is a change to enact a second gilded age, a full oligarchy where the rich rule explicitly. They are striking now that the groundwork has been laid and an weak president is in office that will welcome it.

I reset my gut biome over the course of a few months. It’s honestly a huge pain in the ass. You have to juggle different ones until you find one that works, and you often wont know that until a couple of weeks of use. You also need to cut out things that don’t interact well like a lot of fake sugars/etc, and often take the probiotics on an empty stomach and wait for a bit to eat, which is inconvenient. This is the one that finally worked for me, but it took 2 months of taking it as recommended.

It did have a marked affect on me though. Solved some long standing stomach issues. I weirdly also started really enjoying pickled foods, something I had been adverse to my entire life. The gut really affects you in odd ways.

These systems disable right before a crash because the national traffic safety org in the US requires manufacturers to report if these systems were engaged during an accident.

It is not for safety or because of a malfunction, it’s for marketing. Car companies dont want the features that they sell for 3-8k coming up all the time in crash statistics.

Tesla is the biggest offender here, likely due to vehicles sold, but also due to their camera only system and their aggressively false “full self driving” and “autopilot” marketing that far over promises.
