The news media is not supposed to be friendly with those in power, no matter who is in power. They’re supposed to be a pain in the ass of the president (every president). They’re supposed to be the Fourth Estate! They’re supposed to be part of the checks and balances. It’s always irked me that they do this correspondent’s dinner and get all buddy buddy with the Whitehouse.
A couple of weeks ago I asked the organizers at our local weekly tesler protest how many people they had counted. They’d put it at about 300.
Today we had significantly more than that. If they were right about the 300 then, then I’d say today was 450-500.
Most of these are happening every Saturday. There are sooo many signs that they all pretty much get lost in the crowd, so don’t worry if you don’t have one. Just go to the closest event and have fun. Lots of good vibes, cars honking in support as they drive by, etc. We had a live band for a while today, then they were just cranking out fun tunes from their big speakers.
It’s totally worth taking a couple hours out of your Saturday to go.
This kind of thing is obviously going to have a chilling effect on people here on visas taking an active role in any demonstrations, marches, or other types of organized resistance. That’s the goal.
It’s passed time for any citizens that have been cheering on the demonstrators from the comfort of their armchair to get up, go outside, and participate.
You don’t need a clever sign to hold up. Just be there.
If you drive past a demonstration and wherever you were going can wait an hour or so, stop, park, and go join them.

- Tesla employees committing insurance fraud whilst trying to frame peaceful protesters as violent.
Also keep in mind it doesn’t have to be just one. With multiple events of vandalism, all of these (and more) could be true at the same time.

At our local Tesler protests, I’ve seen very little correlation between driver’s responses and what they were driving. The vast majority were honking in support, waving, and throwing 👍, including from a couple Teslers.
Most swasticar drivers just stared straight ahead looking embarrassed. Very very few negative reactions, but they were from every kind of vehicle imaginable.
The funniest (to me) reactions were the drivers with their mouths agape and eyes wide in utter astonishment, like they had absolutely no clue what was going on. How out of touch with current events can a person be?

There have also been an uptick in incidents of arson, vandalism, and violence against Tesla showrooms that, while unrelated to the protests, have led to Musk and President Donald Trump labeling them “domestic terrorism.”
Keep in mind that it’s completely reasonable to suspect that at least some of these are false flag opperations orchestrated by the Trump administration to justify arresting innocent protesters or eventually declaring martial law.
