How awesome thank you!
How awesome thank you!
Based on what we’ve seen so far, I really think they’ll just use the men’s criteria.
Ironically, when I was in I thought it was really unfair that the women could openly grow long hair and just tuck it under their cover and the men could not.
I’m ashamed to say that back then I took it as an example of women wanting special treatment, when I’m sure in retrospect that it was nothing of the sort.
Depending on topic, they are either OK with it, that I’m over reacting (they are only putting criminals in those camps), or believe any evidence not from the sources you might expect is fake.
And honestly, I don’t push at all, because I’m going to change zero minds and I’ve got enough cortisol in my life already. I prefer to just pretend those people aren’t in my circle when I can.
Step 1: Dramatically restrict who is allowed to volunteer for our volunteer miitary.
Step 2: Bemoan that the US no longer has a standing military large enough to support its interests.
Step 3: Here comes the draft again.
Step 4: Wait a bit and all your undesirables age out or are driven out of the military.
Step 5: Well I’m not sure about this one, but you’ve got a big army full of the only people you really want to have any power, personal autonomy, or decent standard of living anyway; I’m sure you can find something to do with it.
The people cheering it on think it’s patriotism. Then there still seems to be maybe a third of us who think this was just another election we had in 2024.
The rest of us know, and are appropriately freaked the fuck out.
Or these vibes…
Not only that - who tries to be so neat with an Anarchy symbol? No one who has ever drawn one before.
The stencil in OP is giving me similar vibes, but WTH do I know?
But knowing Republicans they probably did it themselves to play the victim
Yep, these vibes for sure. That’s a fucking nice stencil they got there.
This one has pics of the “vandalism”:
I fear it will be like anti vaxxers dying on a ventilator during covid. By the time they realize that they did in fact fuck up and the magnitude of said fuckup, they’ll have metaphorical tubes in their throat and it will be too late for it to matter.
It’s already too late for it to matter. At the first whimpering of complaints from some tiny minority of Republican voters they just stopped showing up to their own town halls.
Every R in an elected position is complicit at best and full throated supporting at worst (and for that matter so is every R in my circle of family and friends - no surprise given his 92% favorability rating with Republicans), and elected R representatives no longer even care about the opinions of their base unless they are from the ones still drinking the flavor aid.
I don’t think my decision to never interact voluntarily with a Republican again is going to impact the fate of the world much.
Does anyone ever think the guys with anything at all like that on their clothing have forgotten how to be violent? Did we need a reminder? Or does this guy just want to be a typical posturing, aggressive, “alpha male” maga shitstain and be certain no one forgets it?

Thing is, we’re all going to burn together. The one bright spot in the coming years will be that moment when maga realizes they are going down along with everyone they wanted him to hurt.
It won’t fix everything, but that schadenfreude will keep me warm in my final moments.
If it were easy we wouldn’t need lawyers.
Edit: Yeah, no one would believe this caused emotional distress. /s
Around 8 p.m. on March 14, she wrote that she was alone in a stall in the women’s restroom when she heard a man yelling.
“The voice was much louder than simply someone yelling in from the door. This man was fully IN the restroom, yelling something about” transgender women, Davis wrote.
Davis said the man yelled he was going to “beat" them and was going to “protect his wife/girlfriend from them” while his wife or girlfriend was pleading with him to stop and leave before he got into trouble.
Davis wrote she was scared and froze, not knowing if the man was going to physically attack her.
“I was the only one in there so it seemed pretty clear that he saw me enter the restroom and he assumed that I am trans because of my height,” Davis recalled. “It was terrifying and I wish no one else ever had an experience like that.”
The man eventually left, and Davis was able to leave the restroom and return to her workstation.
“My immediate supervisor came by and noticed that I was visibly shaken and emotional. After taking a few moments to calm myself down, I told her what had happened. I didn’t go home since it wasn’t long until my shift was done (10 p.m.),” Davis wrote. “Less than a week later, I was fired.”
The reason given for her termination was that she did not report the incident to a salaried management employee and, therefore, created a security risk.
“I took it to mean that I was the security risk because someone had mistaken me for trans,” Davis told the Washington Post.
Davis said she was devastated. Because of the anti-LGBTQ+ climate in Florida, she had been planning on leaving the state. But now, she doesn’t know after losing the job.
She appealed the termination through Walmart’s internal review process but was denied. She filed for unemployment insurance but also took her story to Facebook, where it soon went viral.
Emotional Suffering, and IANAL but I’m sure there’s more.
So fragile and white…
I’d love to argue with you, but unfortunately I cannot.
Assuming we have elections again that aren’t rigged to keep R in power - I pray fervently that everyone Fucking Remembers this time what R does when given power. They showed us during 2017–>2020 how they wanted to behave, but we managed to stop most of it.
Anyone paying attention should have seen it then.
And then, came Jan 6. Everyone saw it. No one could have missed it.
And somehow, some fucking how we forgot. And I know we forgot because Project 2025 was in the news, and he (obviously) lied and said he knew nothing about it, and people somehow fucking believed him!
And I don’t just mean, “we forgot and now there is a Republican in office and I treat politics like a team sport.” I mean “we forgot and now Republicans control everything and they are working together as a nationwide team to dismantle the very fabric of our nation and government, with absolutely no concern for who they hurt, and arguably with a goal of hurting a great many people.”
AND WORSE they take all this action making it plain that ZERO of the values of our nation that we were taught to revere matter to them whatsoever while claiming the entire time that they are dismantling our nation and harming people because they hold those values so sacrosanct.
It’s the national despot version of 5 cops standing around beating the shit out of a black man on the ground, curled in the fetal position, while all screaming at him to stop resisting.
And not only that, there’s actually a live tracker where you can watch it all go to hell in a steady march to 100% completion!

If we somehow get one more chance to fix this, I want so badly to believe that we will remember what they have shown us time and time again about what they truly value, about what a country shaped by Republicans looks like, and recognize that no matter how greatly flawed the Democrats are (and believe me, I am NOT a cheerleader for Democrats as a group), we cannot allow this to continue. We need to get R out of power as step number one, and fix D (or fracture D to get an actual opposition party) as step number two.
At every election from the tiniest of local elections up to the general, we need to remember that.
I am so disgusted, so disgusted, first by what a lie everything I was taught growing up about our nation was, and secondly that so many millions want to actively make it worse for everyone, so long as it means they can own the libs, and create a nation hostile to queer folks, women, immigrants, and minorities.
I will accept zero claims regarding the sanctity of free speech from any Conservative who doesn’t feel this is just as horrible as I do:
To be perfectly clear, Ozturk is not accused of breaking the law. The Department of Homeland Security hasn’t bothered to explain its reasoning, but several outlets reported that Ozturk co-authored a student opinion piece urging Tufts to recognize the International Court of Justice’s declaration of a “plausible risk of genocide” unfolding in Gaza and to divest from Israel. You can read the article if you like. It does not mention Hamas.
That’s a great point and much better thought out than my own! 💯
