I had the impression that college deferment ended about a year before the draft did.
I don’t expect college draft deferment to be a thing again until the boomers die.

During Trump’s first term there were still Republicans who cared about things like:
- Constitution
- Law
- Good Governance
They’ve all been purged now.
That’s hard. Changing your bank means changing a whole string of direct deposits and automatic payments. Having done it, the process takes about a month, where you move payments and deposits, then monitor the account for a while to see if you missed anything.
This makes banking relationships quite sticky.

She was transferred to Louisiana despite a federal judge’s order Tuesday night telling US Immigration and Customs Enforcement not to remove Ozturk from Massachusetts without prior notice.
The plan is explicity to force states to change their rules by illegally withholding money from them and their citizens until the states change their rules
Given that the US is nuclear-armed, change isn’t going to come from the outside. It has to come from the inside. And that means building up enough support in places which have been voting for Republicans. This is one of many tools for achieving that.
Mussolini didn’t actually even pull that off. Just made it a crime to claim otherwise.
They may not. The modern Republican Party operates as a patronage machine, and the patrons like the idea of squashing the rest of us.
For the one’s where they’ve caught people, it’s random individuals who are angry at Musk acting on their own.
I don’t think most of them are false flag operations; just that when you pass off most of a country, some people do things in response.
The idea is to send them to an overseas prison instead of home
So long as people aren’t all identical, they’ll have plenty of ability to engage in needless hate
