Yes.
I’m 6’5" and broad but the number of jump scares I cause is ludicrous. Most people (especially women) seem to have no situational awareness to the point where they miss gorillas approaching them.
If it’s a stranger then I’ll try to announce my approach from further away. If it’s someone I know I’ll see how high I can make them jump.
Edit: just saw you label some of these people creeps. They’re not. This is a massive green light that they don’t want to accidentally scare you.
Famously, it didn’t stop the Nazis.
Calling it “tracks” probably gave the wrong impression. It was a ring around the hub that looked a bit different.
People in the thread are talking about limewire, but I think they are missing the bigger reference here.
Downloading games, burning them onto CD-Rs and then using a Sharpie to make the inner tracks of the disc unreadable as they contained the copy protection.
My only confusion is that I swear it was Playstation and not PC that worked like this.
No. Not what I said.
It’s that line of “infringing on the freedom of others”. If you think it’s the government role to free people of their oppressive burdens (e.g. free them from poverty, free them from ill-heath) then concentration of wealth is “infringing on the freedoms of others”. So it needs to be regulated against.
You emigrate to Italy and then you’ll be an immigrant from the US. One’s a verb, the other a noun.
Once you have Italian citizenship you’ll be able to live an work anywhere in the Schengen region. So a lot more options once you’re in.
That’s most mistakes. They’re still inadvertantly mistakes.
I’m just saying it’s unremarkable.
I think Signal is getting tarred unfairly here. The thing that made that channel insecure was their ineptitude, not verifying who was in the group.
They gave a journalist the encryption key to their secure channel.
There’s other, record keeping related, concerns with them using signal for communicating, but I don’t think the security of Signal is being called into question when used properly.
inadvertent mistake
…as opposed to the other kind of mistake.
Every president since Carter has bombed Yemen (I think).
He’s going to turn into a sand-worm?
With a journalist in the group there’s no need for FOI requests. Think of the money saved!
Depends which end you start.
…or maybe that doesn’t matter.
Last thing he wants to do is liquidate. His twitter loans are secured by Tesla stock. He’d only liquidate if he gets a margin call on those loans.
Mark Rober showed the way. Crash Teslas in to school children.
Don’t know if you’ve noticed, but he’s not been president for a while. A third term would not be consecutive.
