    I’d say about 70% of my comments have exactly 1 or 2 downvotes. Just the other day I said “lmao, nice” on a post about the IRS open-sourcing tax software and it got a downvote.

      You’re a prolific poster. It’s possible they just recognize your username and vote based on their opinion of you alone, without reading each post.

        That’s likely what’s at work with these things. I even got a few chronic haters that downvote just about everything I write, even when it’s calling out racism. They’ll downvote criticism of Nazis in the effort, even.

      Not a tankie, but maybe people just downvote that kind of low effort spam.
