I’m getting pretty tired of hearing people spout the copium that the election was “rigged” when it’s the far more sinister complete capture by the monied class, first past the post, active voter suppression and gerrymandering, and loopholes allowing billionaires to fund the campaigns of whoever they choose.
The election wasn’t rigged, the elections are barely democratic.
Same as in Singapore. Each election isn’t fake, just set up to bring the PAP back to majority government without fail.
That being said, you really need to get rid of your voting machines, that is a really risky practice, and I’ll grant it is possible those were hacked. (I’m assuming you’re from the US). If you’re okay with that possibility, then you also have to admit it was possible when Trump lost.
I like your general idea, but when you speak in broad terms and make claims that the election wasn’t rigged, when we have specific examples of ways that it was, nobody believes you except people who already did.
You could have said that nobody tampered with voting machines. I don’t think that’s true, because we have some specific evidence that people did, but we don’t have any large-scale evidence. So it’s quite possible that voting machine tampering was irrelevant.
What’s more relevant is things like disenfranchising voters after the election happened, and mailbox burning, and rules that prevent felons from voting, all of which benefit the Republicans. And gerrymandering of course. Those things all happened, and some of them were very large-scale. I think most people would say those count as rigging the election. So if you’re not talking about that, you need to be more specific.

Voting machines are dumb.

Kinda sounds like we agree.
What I mean is that the system wasn’t legally “rigged”, more than it already was morally so.
What I mean is that is wasn’t “more” rigged than it already was in 2020.
