It is unquestionably illegal. For your reference, here are the pertinent Wisconsin Bribery Statutes.
This leaves me to question how much the various judges that allowed this to proceed were payed paid to ignore the laws as written. Assuming it wasn’t just fear of reprisal from MAGA terrorists that kept them from stopping it.
“Sounds better every time I hear it.” - Trump probably
Trump is just signing shit they put in front of him.
I don’t think so. Remember the adage, every accusation is a confession? Now consider his recent accusations that Biden used an auto-pen. Frankly, I don’t think they’re putting anything in front of him to sign anymore except for public events, if any. I think they are using an auto-pen to sing sign executive orders without even telling him about many or even most of them.
As much as I love to hate on billionaires, Pritzker is the exception to the rule. He’s been using his money and influence to help workers and the downtrodden since he became Governor of Illinois.
And we pinky-swear that we will not wait three to six months and then fire for some other made up reason that you can disprove.
Obviously he was just there to make sure everyone using the women’s restroom had and honest, God-given pussy.
Trump: “We’re going to charge countries for doing business in our country and taking our jobs, taking our wealth, taking a lot of things that they’ve been taking over the years."
Me: Oh. so you’re going bring an end to tax havens and make business pay the taxes here for the income they earn here?
Trump: No! Not like that! Deport that asshole!
Oh, come now. You probably think evil is stealing money from elderly and children or something like that. How very medieval of you. The modern definition of evil is much more nuanced and allows for the needs of the uber-wealthy to be met without the baggage of having to feel guilty about causing the suffering of the helpless.
Newsom, a Democrat, has attempted a fresh approach to political divisiveness
Seriously? Lurching to the right and courting republican voters is new, is it? Seems to me it’s the same shit democrats have been doing for quite some time. Newsom should just get it over with and change parties.
It is a violation of the statute to even offer to pay someone to vote or not vote. He doesn’t even need to actually pay them.
Wisconsin state bribery statute. I’m not seeing any wiggle room here. Someone should check this judge’s finances.
If I might ask, how do you tag them? Back in my reddit days I used an extension called reddit masstagger. Do you use an app that allows tagging or what?
Essentially true. First you would have to get the other state to arrest Musk, which would be a massive chore on it’s own. The arresting state would be fully aware that Musk has essentially infinite resources and his lawyers would sue the shit out of them. The state would need to be prepared to spend millions or even tens of millions in the courts just for arresting him regardless of the turn out. Wisconsin would also need to spend millions trying to push through the extradition which Musk would fight with his armies of lawyers and pallets of money.
Yeah, the nearly one third of the population that is eligible to vote but don’t bother. These are the dopes who are saying they won’t buy a Tesla, but still can’t be bothered to get off their asses and go vote every couple of years.
No. Districts are not monolithic. Even the most red districts have a lot on left-leaning voters. It even says in the article that although he went to red districts, it was primarily democrats at the town halls.
In rural, deep red California, where last cycle a few hundred people showed up at such events, this turnout was historic. I heard from attendees who had never seen so many Democrats gather in their area before.
This is still very important though. It gives democratic voters the ability to connect with other democrats in their area. Maybe they will now feel less isolated and be more willing to openly support democratic challengers in their district.
For reference, here is the pertinent section of the Wisconsin Bribery statute (taken from this PoliticsUSA.com post)
I hate that I had to check to see if it was the country of Georgia replicating a Russian model or the state because I could believe either.

The WI AG went to court to block him from doing the give away and the judge said no. He then appealed that and the appeals court refused to stop it. He then went to the WI Supreme Court who also refused to stop it. Judges have already been ignoring it.
