If you want the answer to the headline

though they were upset with their own Republican members of Congress, they were also fed up with the Democrats in Washington who are failing to fight back against the cuts that will put their lives in danger.

Across the three town halls, the same questions kept coming up: What are Democrats going to do? What can I do? It’s critical that our party recognizes that people feel angry and want change.

So they voted against the democrats and now they want the democrats to help them… somehow. I really do not get this attitude at all.

No. Districts are not monolithic. Even the most red districts have a lot on left-leaning voters. It even says in the article that although he went to red districts, it was primarily democrats at the town halls.

In rural, deep red California, where last cycle a few hundred people showed up at such events, this turnout was historic. I heard from attendees who had never seen so many Democrats gather in their area before.

This is still very important though. It gives democratic voters the ability to connect with other democrats in their area. Maybe they will now feel less isolated and be more willing to openly support democratic challengers in their district.

        Americans are behaving like children…

They threw a tantrum because they didn’t want to eat the farina and instead threw it on the floor

Now they are hungry and complain why is nobody feeding me?

Ants and roaches are feasting on the mess and Americans cry, where is the maid that hasn’t cleaned this mess up?

And when pointing out all these problems are of their own making and could have been avoided by eating the served breakfast, they say “not my fault!, why wasn’t I offered the breakfast I wanted? Why wasn’t I prevented from making a mess?”

Supporting their constituents in the class war is presented as an afterthought, as usual from the corporate Democrats, and this congresscritters proposal is just the standard right-wing, milquetoast, failed Democratic policy that got us into this mess.

There are over 100 million people without a home in USA, and this guy thinks housing 10% of them will be sufficient. He won’t even say a number when it comes to minimum wage. Three fifths of the proposal is just masturbatory lust for power.

This reply looks like some “get discouraged and angry” bullshit right here. Of course repeating the targeted message of the month about Democrats. And a wild falsehood about the homeless rate in the US.

I mean, yeah. They supported a genocide for a year and three months. That’s bad. They keep voting with the trump administration. That’s also bad.

They keep doing bad things. You want silence from their critics.

This dude really hates when someone calls out their favorite sports team who agrees with Trump, but says they aren’t anything like Trump.

If Trump was registered Democrat they’d still just go “democrats bad” to any actual meaningful critcism.

Trump sucks shit, I’ve never once denied that. Dig through my entire history, you’ll never find me unironically praising Trump, or ever saying he did something great. I don’t think he’s ever done anything good, at least on purpose. I can think of maybe stopping pennies, but that’s like… nothing great.

I don’t like Democrats, but I hate Republicans. I vote Democrat because they’re the only option I have. I’m allowed to call out my reps and the party who has anyone with a braincell hostage because they vote on Trump’s cabinet picks, flip flop on voting no for his Enabling acts, and then act like its some great favor for us that they give Trump what he wants, and how with just another $5 they can finally stop Trump this time.

I want Trump dead. I’ll settle for him rotting in jail. He should have been in jail for Jan 6. He wasn’t. I can only blame Garland for slowing that shit, and not getting the rest of Trump’s enablers and rioters on Jan 6.

Sorry you find me saying “Democrats voting Yes on Trump’s wants isn’t good for anyone.” is somehow bad in your eyes. If Democrats voted no, I’d be happy. I’d be praising them if they stood up, like Al Green, like I have been. If they filibustered to slow him down like Bitch McConnell did for anything good Obama could have pushed for in his second term, I’d be cheering.

I truly wish we could have a good faith conversation about the extreme shortcomings of the Democratic Party. That’s a good and valuable conversation to have. But Lemmy is absolutely INFESTED with “hello there, fellow Leftists” types who exclusively attack Democrats and are deafeningly silent about Republicans.

I consider the majority of this site as MAGA-compromised enemy territory. Any criticism about Democrats without at least a preferatory “Republicans are way worse” is immediately suspect.
