Easy, but then people will throw up their hands and say,“That’s not easy, how the fuck am I supposed to know that?”

You know that through man
pages, tdlr
or whatever. Then if you find yourself doing it a lot, you make a tiny script that makes the process something like

I absolutely hate all this container shit, for my uses. That said, they make sense when you need to sandbox applications for whatever reason, but most of those uses seem like they would be better served with VMs.
People buying Teslas: ¯\(ツ)/¯ My bad. I’m sorry, I didn’t know how bad he was.
People voting for trump: ¯\(ツ)/¯ My bad. I’m sorry, I didn’t know how bad he was.
People in this thread: Hey, that’s OK, Corky, you can’t be expected to be informed.
I wish my grandparents had never emigrated from Norway.
I can not wait for the cross-country road trip I’m going to take to piss on his grave.
It always makes me kind of sad when people disparage CLI use. It’s like people thinking they don’t need to actually learn anything because they can always look up what they need to know on their phone. It seems a shame to miss so much of the richness of the experience. I found myself arguing, promoting, whatever, terminal use a few times and then realized how pointless it is. It’s like arguing with someone about what food they like. You can just hope they develop a more sophisticated palate at some point, or at least become more open-minded, but you can’t force it on them.
This was a long way to get around to saying I like that you had that change of frame and are embracing the fun of personalizing your interactions with your computer.
The dude cried and vowed retribution against one of the two parties in the US…and was still confirmed to the highest court in the country. Fucking wild.
Most people over here have been beaten down almost completely by a sick capitalist culture. The group who is “fighting for who’s the most righteous” (<- a phrase I love, for what that’s worth) is the same group fucking most of us.
There are only a few handful for whom I’d pull the trigger myself, but quite a multitude more that I would celebrate their passing with glee.
It’s not news that you take a group of <x number of> people, there are going to be a subset of <x> who are criminals. Migrants, according to data, are better neighbors and citizens. But Fox selectively culls it’s reports to enforce right wing hysteria. If Fox reporting were being honest, in spirit if not letter, it would also make sure that it’s viewers knew that these immigrants, as a group, are more trustworthy and honest than the viewer’s neighbors.
The only reason for shit reporting like this is to stoke the right wing racist hate machine. Just about every inbred Fox watching ignoramus has no clue “that undocumented immigrants had substantially lower crime rates than native-born citizens and legal immigrants across a range of felony offenses.” <- Study with Texas data
I’m just not sure what more anyone needs to feel that line has been long ago crossed.
