You really just need one angry mounty.
Mama told me not to come.
She said, that ain’t the way to have fun.
You really just need one angry mounty.
That sounds extremely imprecise, was that really a thing? I grew up with an NES, so I’m pretty sure I’m old enough to have heard of this (and my friend had a PlayStation). Pirated games already had any copy protection stripped anyway.
That’s why I assumed the sharpie was just for writing what’s on the disc. I did that plenty.
Yeah, I remember flippies and casettes, but I’m too young for 8 track.
That’s a pretty scary line of thinking. The Constitution says, “We the People,” not “We the People who voted.”
Yes, everyone should vote, but that doesn’t mean the opinions of those who didn’t are invalid. Please contact your representatives regardless of whether you voted or for whom you voted.
Can’t fault that logic.
And honestly, arresting your President for breaking the law should totally be a common thing. Why should someone be treated special just because they hold an office?
Yup. I live in the US and most “Mexican” food here is terrible. I’ve gotten to the point where I refuse to eat Mexican unless it’s in an establishment with soccer playing 24/7, mysterious jugs of liquid on the counter, and counter staff who struggle with English. Bonus points for dingy lighting. If I can’t order lengua or they don’t ask for clarification when i order cabesa, I’m out.
And even then it’s a toss up. Some great Mexican places give in and start adding American nonsense to their dishes. I want a variety of moles, fantastic beans, and salsas so hot the devil himself would get hiccups and I’m sold.
Is it actually cheaper than buying dry detergent for cheap?
Eh, all of that stores really well, so buy in bulk.
Well yeah, the reply is obviously a joke. Displaying an image is a single threaded task regardless of the contents, and adding threads will just make it slower.
Yup. We have a librarian here that’s trans, and the only reason I know is because I have eyes (and they transitioned after getting the job). Oh, and we’re in a pretty conservative area, and I’ve never heard or seen anyone having any issues with her, though I’m sure it happens.
Oh, and that librarian rocks. We couldn’t find one of our holds, and it turned out it was stuck in their book elevator thing which had broken down that day, and they went out of their way to fish our books out for us. It’s completely unrelated to her gender identity, I just thought that was really cool.
If I hadn’t been really into Tom Clancy novels, it probably would’ve scarred me for life. But I was already reading about terrorists trying to mass-genocide most of the planet (Rainbow Six) and assassins shooting people in the eyes at near-point blank (forget the specific book), so a little gore didn’t phase me.
Hmm, for short stories, it’s probably “The Most Dangerous Game.”
MC is a big game hunter traveling by boat to the Amazon to hunt jaguar. He is warned by locals about a local island called Ship-Trap island. He falls overboard and swims to Ship-Trap island, where there’s a big mansion inhabited by General Zaroff, another big game hunter. Zaroff explains that he got bored of hunting animals and set up the island to attract ships, and when a ship wrecks on the island, he gives the sailors a knife and a head start, and if they can survive 3 days, they are set free. Zaroff then sets off to hunt them with a small caliber pistol.
Plot happens, and at the end the MC makes it look like he committed suicide by jumping off a cliff. Zaroff returns home, and the MC is waiting for him in his bedroom. Zaroff congratulates him, but the MC says the hunt isn’t over, and we see the MC sleeping in Zaroffs bed at the end of the story.
The themes are pretty disturbing if you stop to think about it, and even if you don’t, there’s a fair amount of violence.
Ah, so you colored between lines? That makes sense. I guess it would make sense for them to have a fixed unusable region to separate game content from copy protection.
