Members of President Donald Trump’s National Security Council, including White House national security adviser Michael Waltz, have conducted government business over personal Gmail accounts, according to documents reviewed by The Washington Post and interviews with three U.S. officials.
My understanding is that this type of infraction would have normally merited an administrative response, but no criminal charges. Since she wasn’t employed by the government anymore at that time, there wasn’t really much that was warranted.
I mean, I’d be fine if they wanted to throw the book at her. I support this with any powerful members of society. But I don’t think this case was particularly unusual.
