Yeah I think I would fall in that group that has concerns of personal freedoms here. The state shouldn’t be telling people what they can wear unless there’s a tangible risk to public safety and a headscarf absolutely does not meet that criteria. No one should be forced to wear one, and no one should be prevented from wearing one. If the concern is that people are being indoctrinated into violent extremist groups, there are plenty of other ways to fight that outside of restricting someone’s clothing.

i was talking about how some far-left groups are pushing back against this measure, largely out of concern for personal freedoms and the protection of minority rights.
amnesty international also falsely blames the franch state but it’s the parents that are forcing it on kids,
