If I could be a cop who only policed cops I would consider it. There should be an agency whose entire purpose is to get other cops. No camaraderie, no over lap. These guys hate cops and want to bust them.

      no [overlap]

Where do you think they pick the internal investigations crew from? If you haven’t guessed ‘experienced cops’, then please consider again.

      These guys hate cops

There’s only a few ways career cops leave the force: disgrace, homicide, suicide, ptsd, hating the force and everyone on it. The goal is to grab them between “no longer a fan” and “I quit”.

When the victim’s photo is used as the thumbnail for a headline about a predator…

A photo of the victim taken by the news publication who interviewed her for this story

Moreover, caption for that photo points out how she “fell” out of a five story window at her abuser’s apartment and the full version of it shows she’s standing on a cane, i.e. dealing with a permanent physical disability because of her abuser’s abuse

But since the thumbnail cut off her cane and since you’ve still got a bit of a point regardless of the details I just added I’ve updated the post

I don’t disagree that the article makes clear who the picture is of. I’m just noting that when you’re scrolling through headlines and thumbnails - on this site or others - you can associate the photo with whomever is mentioned. It’s unconscious, but it might give you an impression this was about a female predator.
